The fact that so many people are opting to lay their own flooring these days can be both a good and a bad thing, for several reasons. While I in know way want to dissuade anyone keen to try and take work on themselves this can get tricky. Considering that there are inexperienced workers, power tools, and temperamental flooring materials a lot can go wrong. Therefore I must stress to those intending to take on such a project to seek as guidance prior to beginning in any of the work.
So what’s concerning me most? Mostly the fact that many people do not know about tools like the stair claw, which in my opinion is mandatory when laying carpet over certain types of stairs. They will also not know anything about a heat bond iron, such as when, or if, they will need one. Not to mention the power groover or heat weld gun.
