There have been many times when I have been asked about the benefits of underfloor heating. Some of these are obvious, but I like to tell a little story about how my family and I enjoy our system during the winter months. My wife is an avid scrapbooker, and we have the finest collection of organised, and complete photo albums that I have ever seen. In particular, you can see that our new wedding album is the most organised and well put together of all the photo albums that we have. Wedding photos are particular important souvenirs, so it is important that they are well preserved in an album.

She has enjoyed this hobby for several years, but it did not start until after the birth of our third child. Prior to that, we had a bunch of boxes filled with memorabilia, and photos. But, when she decided to dive into those boxes and really sort them out, she needed a lot of space. She and our eldest laid everything out on the heated floor and then sat there amongst all of the materials. They did this a few nights a week all winter long, and had a blast.

Now, when the weather gets chilly they cannot wait to get started on that years photo album. They save up photos, invitations, certificates, awards, and an overwhelming amount of other things all year long. The process is always the same; the only difference is that more members of the family get involved now. If the floors were not heated, they would not be eager to do their work upon it. So, all because of our heated floors, our family has a tradition, and plenty of memories to go with it.
